Description

What happens when sugar and table salt are added to h2o? Pour in sugar, shake in salt, and evaporate h2o to come across the effects on concentration and conductivity. Zoom in to run into how unlike sugar and salt compounds dissolve. Zoom in again to explore the part of water.

Sample Learning Goals

Utilise pictures and proportional reasoning to explain changes in concentration
Draw what happens at the molecular level when compounds deliquesce in water
Place if a compound is a table salt or sugar by macroscopic observations or microscopic representations.
Explicate how using combinations of solutes changes solution characteristics or not.
Apply observations to explicate ways concentration of a solute can modify.
Describe ways the formula, macroscopic observations, or microscopic representations of a compound indicates if the bonding is ionic or covalent.
